Friday Favorites, Fails and Giveaway for Sept 6, 2013

Friday, September 6, 2013

I had so many fun products this week!! The first being some new hair care products from the brand Curly Hair Solutions. The first is the curler keeper! It is a water based so it does create build up or make your hair greasy but it keeps your hair freeze free and can be re-applied the next day!!! The next is the Slip detangler. I love this stuff!! It makes your comb glide through your hair so easily!!! This is idea for curly, wavy or frizzy hair!!

Next was the Lush Let the Good Times Roll cleanser! This stuff smells so good!! It reminds me of banana bread with a hint of cinnamon.  It is a bit of a gritty cleanser in the texture of play dough. I find it gently exfoliates my skin without being too harsh! I highly recommend this!! Lush products can be purchased at Lush stores as well as http://www.lushusa.com  It appears it is a Christmas special so make sure to stock up during Christmas time. The primer that has been my GO TO is the Rouge Bunny Rouge Matte Primer! The packaging is absolutely amazing! It is a frosted glass jar with a pump and a gorgeous black design! The primer keeps me matte all day long without using a matte foundation!!! I highly recommend checking out their products as they are amazing quality and adorable packaging!!!

The Urban Decay B6 Vitamin Infused Prep Spray! This is a fun treat for your skin! It has Vitamin B6 which helps control oil, Vitamin E for antioxidants, and Willowbark to help in cell generation turn over. I use this morning and night before my moisturizer and it just gives a nice refreshing mist to the face. It is also supposed to help reduce redness and tighten pores. I am not sure I have seen it do either of those but I am enjoying the spray for the oil control & vitamin benefits :)

Oh Ben Nye how I love your powders!! The Banana Powder is VERY yellow and perfect for Medium+ skin tones! However for fair/light skin it is way to dark! I have always used the Cameo powder from Ben Nye and I got the genius idea to mix the two! I am loving the combination of both as they are the perfect shade and consistency for setting your under eyes!! Also gives you a great brightening effect and does not settle into your fine lines!!! Apply with a beauty blender and you are golden!!!

MAC Lush- Light Bronzer Careblend Bronzer is a soft silky texture warm toned bronzer! It is gorgeous on the skin and extremely blendable. This was a limited edition product but MAC does have the Careblend Powders in the permanent range, I would suggest just choosing a darker color so you can bronze with it :)

Last makeup favorite is the GORGEOUS Becca Mineral Blush in Gypsy!!! It is a gorgeous ballerina pink! It has the most gorgeous white-gold sheen to it and looks absolutely STUNNING on the cheeks! I think this is a universally flattering shade from pale skin to darker skin tones!! You can purchase Becca Products at Sephora.

My fashion favorite was the Emma Dress from SiHo. It is the perfect dress to transition into fall and can be paired with cute cowboy boots or edgy combat boots!!! I love it with a brown belt and some chunky jewelry!! This dress would also be SUPER cute with a denim jacket!!!

My giveaway with SiHo is going on from today September 6th - 20th and 1 winner will win an item of their choice of the website!! Feel free to shop the website and save 25% using the code KASSIE at checkout!! http://www.shopsiho.com

  1. I've been DYING to try the Lush cleanser, planning a huge haul soon! I recently picked up the Cameo powder and I've fallen in love - never applied with a beauty blender though, I'll have to check that out :)
