I have been LOVING this eye combo lately!! I have literally worn it 3 out of 7 days this last week!!! A fun way to switch it up is to put a little bit of MAC Shale over MAC Copperplate for a little sheen. SO PRETTY!!!

Holiday Glam Eye: Using Makeup Geek Products

Monday, October 7, 2013
Ever since I purchased the Makeup Geek Pigment in Utopia I have been OBSESSED! It is the most beautiful and unique pigment I have ever seen!!!

The Makeup Geek website describes it as: A mixture of deep brown and antique gold shimmer duochrome glitter.

Here is a great swatch from the Makeup Geek Website:

I love pairing it with the Makeup Geek Base in Rave which just makes this pigment that much more beautiful!!!

My inspiration for this look was from a picture I saw on instagram from pinupbeautyx93. She used Utopia and Rave and I instantly went out and purchased it to recreate the look. I know she used a bit more warmer orange and reddish browns which I love but I switched it up a bit with a more mustardy-camel yellow instead :)

Fall is my favorite time of the year!! Cool weather, boots, pumpkin spice lattes, corn maizes and haunted houses! Doesn't get much better than that!!!

This fall is going to be full of Military Inspired fashion, purple/bold lips and cute big hats!

Here are a few of my favorites for this fall!!

Hats: I love the big floppy style hats!! Yes they kind of remind me of the Man with the Big Yellow hat off Curious George! But they are so cute and look super chic!!!

I found a few cheap alternatives on Love Cultures website but my favorite are the Free People Hats!

I think it is the perfect muted pinky nude color and looks great on fair- dark skin tones!!! It is classic and goes with any outfit!!! As far as blush goes I move more towards my mauvey, neutral, plum shades!!! I think they look so great on the cheeks and work for light to dark skin tones!!! Jouer Matte Moisture Tint Demo & Get Ready With Me

Wednesday, September 4, 2013
I have been absolutely LOVING my Jouer Matte Moisture Tint. It has medium to buildable full coverage and has great wear time! I think my perfect match would be Nude but I mixed together Linen and Chamomile and was able to make a perfect match for my self tanned body!

I also adore the eye crayons! They are long wearing, extremely pigmented and don't budge once they set.

I found the cheek tints to be much more pigmented when using a brush vs finger and have amazing pigmentation and give a great natural flush to the cheeks. The thing I love about the cheek tints is you can have a light application or build it up to be quite dramatic.

The blush and bronzer are so creamy, smooth and blendable! Again another product I find to be more pigmented when applied with a brush vs swatched with your finger. They are long lasting and looked natural on the cheeks. The bronzer was also a great all over bronzer as well as a great contour shade!

The moisturizing lipsticks are just that, MOISTURIZING! They feel so creamy and smooth on the lips and slip and slide all over like some "moisturizing" lip products I have tried in the past! The glosses are very smooth as well. They are more on the sheer side but are a great topper for your lipstick.

If you missed the haul where I swatched the products here it is

Below is a quick Get Ready with Me Video featuring many of the Jouer Products

What I am wearing in the above video:
Jouer Matte Moisture Tint: Linen & Chamomile
Jouer Brightening Concealer: Light

The Balm Meet Matte Nude Palette

Jouer Cheek Tint: Honeysuckle

beauty on a budget: fun and flirty

Sunday, August 19, 2012
Yay! Another back to school looking using some fun colors!!! I LOVE COLOR!!! Especially purple! I think that is one of my favorites shades to wear! I wanted to create a look that is a little bit more "bold" for back to school for those that love to be a bit more bold! It again is a super EASY and quick look but is really beautiful and will flatter ANY eye color!!!

I am again using the Wet N Wild Color Icon Palettes but this is the Petal Pusher Palette. I love this palette because it has some beautiful purple and pinky shades that are pigmented and very blendable. My best tip when using these shadows is to not blend too much otherwise you will blend them to nothing!!!

I hope you enjoy this tutorial!!!!

Simple Back To School Look on a Budget

Saturday, August 18, 2012

It is about that time again for back to school videos!!! Although it has been YEARS since I have actually been back to school I found this to be a great opportunity to think back to what I would have worn when I was in high school or college. Now don't think that you have to be going to school to wear this look! This is a great work look also just an everyday face!

All the products used were from the drugstore which is even better! Who doesn't love beauty on a budget!!!! I find that the Wet N Wild palettes are some of the best eye shadows that the drugstore offers! They are extremely inexpensive as well as HIGHLY pigmented!!! The Vanity Palette is one of my all time favorites from the Wet N Wild Line!!!

Also how can you forget about the amazing Maybeline 24 hour Color Tattoos!!! I have found Bad to the Bronze is one of my most used eye shadow bases!!!
